We are excited to unveil the 2023 Drag Racing Schedule as Firebird kicks off the 55th year of NHRA drag racing in the Treasure Valley foothills.

The first major event this season will be the eBay Motors Spring Warm Up & Swap Meet. The event returns for the 27th year on April 7-8. Vendors, buyers, racers and fans take part in the largest automotive swap meet in the 5-state intermountain west.

The oldest event on the track schedule is the 52nd Annual NAPA Auto Parts Ignitor Nitro Opener presented by Peterson Chevrolet is set for May 5-7. The Opener will feature AA/Nitro Funny Cars at Idaho’s first of two major NHRA Heritage Series stops this season.

The opening stop in Division 6 for the Lucas Oil Drag Race Series returns on June 2-4. Racing will be contested in Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Top Dragster, Top  Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Sportsman Motorcycle/Sled, Super Pro, Pro and Heavy. In addition, a high stakes $5K Gambler race will be offered, along with the highly anticipated Super Stock and Stock class car showdown.

June will be an extra busy month at Firebird as the 43rd Annual Project Filters Oldies But Goodies Drags returns on June 10-11. The headline attraction will be the AA/Supercharged coupes and sedans that are capable of running better than 200 mph in the quarter-mile.

A 46 year tradition, we look forward to featuring the first appearance of the season of Jet cars. The Great American Fox Hunt & Drags Races presented by Bronco Motors will also showcase the Good Vibrations BB/Funny Cars, Supercharged Dragsters & Roadsters, along with Ed “the Outlaw” Jones Stagecoach Wheelstander.

Mark your calendars today for August 4-6, Firebird’s “signature event”, the 52nd Annual Nightfire Nationals presented by Bi-Mart will feature Nitro cars, Pro Mods, Jets and the “Outlaw” Wheelstander under the lights. We’re also very excited to be the home of the oldest major bracket tournament in North America. The Bracketeers will showcase Firebird’s richest sportsman purse of the season. We guarantee it will be the “RACE OF THE YEAR IN 2023“!

The NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic XXX presented by Mirage Trailers is locked in for October 4-8. Customary to past years, it will be the Halloween party of the year for racers and their families who will be participating in our final major event of the season.
