FIREBIRD SAFETY TEAM
Firebird Raceway takes a great deal of pride in striving to have the absolute best when it comes to the safety aspect of our sport.
Significant strides have been developed over many years by the NHRA, S.F.I. Foundation, and cooperative manufacturers to provide competitors with specs for the latest gear to operate race cars, bikes and sleds in a safe and prudent manner. Additionally, NHRA member tracks like Firebird Raceway here in western Idaho have gone to considerable lengths over the years to retain top of the line equipment for rescue, safety, emergency medical, patient care and fire needs at each and every event throughout the course of the racing calendar.
Equally, the raceway continues each and every season to field a highly trained staff known as the Firebird Safety Team. In cooperation with region-wide fire departments, Firebird is proud to utilize skilled and experienced fire/medical personnel during the season.
Additionally, Firebird officials and staff are trained in a variety of areas of safety from fire to extrication and all points in between. Firebird is devoted to following the motto of the National Hot Rod Association, which dates back to its inception in 1951—“DEDICATED TO SAFETY.”
