The Boise Muffler/NAPA Gold Cup chase kicks into high gear on the first of two days of racing with the 36th Annual Bronco Motors Hot Truck Nationals. The full day race `n show is Saturday, May 4.
Racing will be contested in Gold Cup classes, along Pro Truck, Street Truck and the all-new C-10 for trucks 1960-1987 (no box classes are open to slicks/DOT/Street Tires, and be muffled or unmuffled). All three classes are handicapped bracket categories with awards up for grabs. Street Truck premium points will be available to all track competitors (note: 31 pts. awarded in St. Truck for any class you might wish to compete in).
In addition to all of Firebird’s Gold Cup divisions (Super Pro, Pro, Sled/Bike, Sportsman, Nostalgia, Jr. Dragster and Jr. Street ), the Comfort Source Pro Comp eliminator will kick off its point’s series on both Sat (qualifying) and Sun (eliminations).
Neil Ramey with Neil’s Rod & Custom is adding $100 ea. to the Pro Truck, Street Truck & C-10 champions. Plus $100 ea. to the Best of Show-Custom Truck, Best of Show-Restored Truck and Best of Show-Mini Truck selections. Plus we’ll recognize the best supported truck club at this year’s event. Additionally, we will be awarding several more Truck “show pick” plaques, too, with show parking reserved in Firebird’s paved upper pit area.
