The Summit E.T. Finals at Mission Raceway Park took one day longer to finish than originally planned. Five Team Firebird Racers returned on the fifth day of the weather-delayed event to take a shot at titles in the Race of Champions showdown.
Claiming the top finish of the day for Firebird was Troy McDonald who earned a runner-up showing in Sportsman. Dan Wilder had an impressive semi-final showing in the Pro class, while Chris Jaggers bowed out in the semi’s of Super Pro. Sean Shaffer who won on Sunday returned in Super Pro to finish in the quarter-final round. Christopher Wingert, who traveled with his dad Steve (who ran Sportsman with his tow truck), finished in the quarter-finals of Pro, too.
