Firebird’s “signature event”, the 49th Annual Nightfire Nationals returns Friday-Sunday, August 7-9.

The race marks a key stop in the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series for both AA/Funny Car and AA/Fuel Dragster. Leading the charge in the Nitro Funny Car field will be defending Nightfire champion Jeff Arend behind the wheel of the “California Hustler” Trans Am campaigned by Don Nelson.

In AA/Fuel Dragster, the March Meet winner Pete Wittenberg will be bringing the #1-ranked Top Fueler to Idaho to try and go two-for-two in 2020.

The fan favorite AA/Fuel Altereds will compete in their own nitro eliminator on Friday thru Sunday, too. We are excited about the return of reigning Nightfire champion “the Heatseeker” roadster of Dan Hix who will look to defend his title from last August.

The famed Bracketeer Series returns, too, with categories for Bracketeer (Super Pro), Pro, Sled/Bike, Pro Comp and Heavy, along with the popular Lucas Oil Top Fire eliminator presented by CMYK Grafix. Top Fire will qualify the quickest 16 open wheelers and the quickest 16 full-bodied rides, with an overall champion crowned on Sunday. Note: early bird pre-entry deadline is 7/29/2020. Post (late) entering the Nightfire event is available, but at a higher entry fee.

Racers will also vie for the new “King of the Nightfire” NHRA.TV CHALLENGE coveted Wally statues.

A limited number of tickets are available for this year’s event. Additionally, you can only secure your admission TICKET to this year’s Nightfire online.
