Firebird racers are showcased in the final calendar year issue of National Dragster. The full-color NHRA bi-weekly magazine is published and available in both electronic online and print versions.

National Dragster features several stories and photography from a variety of events and news out the Firebird racing scene. In Bits from the Pits, recent track upgrades are released, along with the national announcement of the 2017 Schedule for the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series. Firebird will host two Heritage races in 2017 including the NAPA Ignitor Nitro Opener on May 5-7, and the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals on August 10-13. Funny Car will earn points at both the Ignitor and Nightfire events. Top Fuel will compete for national points at the Nightfire.

The Nightfire sportsman champions are noted in this issue, along with an assortment of photos from Firebird’s signature event of the season.

A spotlight story is also included from the season culminating Awards Banquet. There is a photo 2016 Racemaster recipient John and his wife Tami Shaffer. In addition,  all the 2016 track champions are included within the feature piece.

Lastly, photos and results from other Firebird events are included in the Bracket Racing North America section.
