The Ignitor-Lucas Oil Drag Race Series is set for this Saturday-Sunday, August 15-16, a staple on the Firebird track schedule since 1969.

The NAPA Auto Parts Ignitor presented by Peterson Chevrolet features a key point’s stop in the Division 6 Lucas Oil Drag Race Series, along with the Boise Muffler Gold Cup chase.

Test `n tune runs are available for Lucas Oil Drag Race Series and Gold Cup competitors on Friday afternoon. Qualifying and time trials begin at 8 am on Saturday. Sunday’s final eliminations get underway for all categories at 8 am.

Racing will be offered in Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and Sportsman Motorcycle/Sled. Heads up competition will be staged in Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. Gold Cup eliminations will be staged in Super Pro, Pro and Heavy.
