Get Ready for the 54th Annual NAPA Ignitor Nitro Opener presented by The Blower Shop – May 16-18!

Join us for the 54th Annual NAPA Ignitor, taking place Friday-Sunday, May 16–18. As the longest-running major drag racing event in the Pacific Northwest, the Ignitor has been a cornerstone of nitro-fueled excitement since its debut in 1971. That first year saw drag racing legend Don “the Snake” Prudhomme take the win behind the wheel of his iconic “Hot Wheels” Cuda Funny Car.

In 2025, defending champion Nathan Sitko returns to Firebird with the world’s quickest Heritage Series Nitro Funny Car. Sitko and the Bubble Up team stunned the crowd last year with a record-breaking 5.51-second pass, setting both track and national records on their way to capturing the Alberta-based teams first Ignitor title.

This year’s event promises a strong lineup of AA/Funny Cars along with a full slate of action in the Lucas Oil Drag Race Series, serving as the NHRA Northwest Division’s season opener. Classes include: Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Sportsman Motorcycle, Super Pro and Pro.
