After a two month delay following the postponement of the Peterson’s Stampede Dodge Northwest Mopar & Gold Cup race in July, two events merged to become one on September 17th. Sweeping top honors, Ed Cutler won the prestigious NHRA Summit King of the Track title.
The Wally trophy came down to battle of the champions of Super Pro, Pro, Sled/Bike and Sportsman. In the final, the former Division 6 Super Pro champion edged the Drag Sled of Craig Jensen. Other champions in the Mopar ranks included: Ken Casteel, Susan Wikfors, and Clyde Hughes.
