We are excited to unveil the 2025 Drag Racing Schedule as Firebird kicks off the 57th year of NHRA drag racing in the Treasure Valley foothills.

The first major event this season will be the Spring Warm Up & Swap Meet. The event returns for the 31st  year on April 11-12. Vendors, buyers, racers and fans take part in the largest automotive swap meet in the 5-state intermountain west.

The oldest event on the track schedule is the 54th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Ignitor Nitro Opener presented by The Blower Shop is set for May 15-18. The Opener will feature AA/Nitro Funny Cars at Idaho’s first of two major NHRA Heritage Series stops this season. In addition, the Ignitor combine with the opening stop in Division 6 for the Lucas Oil Drag Race Series. Racing will be contested in Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Top Dragster, Top  Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Sportsman Motorcycle/Sled, Super Pro and Pro. In addition, a high stakes $5K Gambler race will be offered, along with the highly anticipated Super Stock and Stock NHRA class car showdown.

June will be an extra busy month at Firebird as the 45th Annual Project Filter Oldies But Goodies Drags returns on  May 31-June 1. The headline attraction will be the AA/Supercharged coupes and sedans that are capable of running better than 200 mph in the quarter-mile. New for 2025, the thrilling A/FX Patriot tour will be headed to Idaho for their first ever event at Firebird.

A 48 year tradition, we look forward to featuring the first appearance of the season of Jet cars on June 13-14. The Little Caesars Pizza Great American Fox Hunt & Drags Races presented by Bronco Motors will also showcase the Good Vibrations BB/Funny Cars, Supercharged Dragsters & Roadsters, along the fire-blasting Jets!

Mark your calendars today for July 31, August 1-3, Firebird’s “signature event”, the 54th Annual Nightfire Nationals presented by Bi-Mart will feature AA/Funny Cars, AA/Fuel Dragsters, AA/Fuel Altereds, Doorslammers, and Jet cars under the lights. We’re also very excited to be the home of the oldest major bracket tournament in North America. The Bracketeers will showcase Firebird’s richest sportsman purse of the season. We guarantee it will be the “RACE OF THE YEAR IN 2025“!

The NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic XXXII is locked in for October 8-12. Customary to past years, it will be the Halloween party of the year for racers and their families who will be participating in our final major event of the season.
