We’re excited to unveil our 2020 Motorsports Annual, the official Yearbook of Firebird Raceway.

This year’s program is loaded with amazing photography and written commentary. We are grateful to all the hard work put forth by a number of people. They include the design team at ARC Document Solutions and Bozman Design Studios. We also want to thank our official Yearbook print house,  Caxton Printing, Caldwell.

In addition, we are indebted to all the top notch photographers who who captured all the amazing shots we hand selected for this year’s book.

The 116-page book is chock full of colorful photography many of which have not been published previously.

As we traverse back in time, the first few Firebird programs were all 16 pages in size. They principally focused on the Nigthfire 500. Originally, the cover was two colors and the inside pages were all black `n white. In fact, the first three programs were created, printed and distributed via a mass marketing firm in the midwest who worked off ad sales to produce the rather small saddle-stitched programs.

For those of you who still have your early programs, it’s still fun looking back at those vintage covers. The cover photography featured Don Prudhomme (cover 1975), Tom McEwen, Jerry Ruth (1976), Raymond Beadle’s “Blue Max” (1777), and Gordie Bonin (1978), all pictured below.

It’s almost hard to envision, but in total, we have now produced 45 souvenir programs.

The covers of Firebird’s first four programs in 1975, 76, 77 and 78.

Today, the books are full-color from front to back. The books are also perfect bound (square binding edge), something you can place on your coffee table or your office for everyone to enjoy.

The Yearbook will be available at the Firebird Sport Shop this season. And remember to support those sponsors who support our program. We are grateful for their marketing ties.
