Firebird’s “signature event”, the 55th Annual Nightfire Nationals presented Bi-Mart returns Friday-Sunday, August 7-9.

The race marks a key stop in the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series for both AA/Funny Car and AA/Fuel Dragster. Leading the charge in Funny Car will be the defending Nightfire champion, the Bubble Up Trans Am of Ron & Ryan Hodgson and driven by Canadian Nathan Sitko.
In Top Fuel, hot off winning the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Pete Kaiser is coming to Firebird loaded for bear.
The fan favorite AA/Fuel Altereds will be battle it out at the Nightfire, too. Additionally, we look forward to featuring a strong field of Pro Modified doorslammers, which will include quite a number of the top teams from the west.
Fire blasting Jet Cars will light up the night-time sky as both the “Ice Man” and “Pyromaniac” Jets will deliver an earth shaking experience on Friday thru Sunday, too.
The historic Bracketeer Series returns with a guaranteed cash purse on the line over all three days and nights. The event is open to all racers, including teams competing in: Bracketeer (Super Pro), Pro, Sled/Bike, Pro Comp and Heavy, along with the popular Top Fire eliminator. Top Fire will qualify the quickest 16 open wheelers and the quickest 16 full-bodied rides, with an overall champion crowned during Sunday’s Prime Time Finals.
This year’s Nightfire will pay a guaranteed winner’s prize of $10,000 to win on each of the three nights in the famed Bracketeer eliminator.
Racers will also compete in the NHRA.TV CHALLENGE three-day point’s series, with the overall champions taking home a coveted Wally statues.
