The Boise Muffler/NAPA Gold Cup Series returns on Sunday, May 4, tied in conjunction with the Interstate Batteries Spring Best of Detroit race.

Gates will open at 9 am, followed by eliminations at 1 pm. Racing will be contested in Gold Cup classes, along with the Chevy Cup, Ford Cup, Buick-Olds-Pontiac Cup and Mopar Cup. The overall King of the Spring Detroit winners will square off a runoff to decide the ultimate  four-way champion.

Sunday marks the first of four-races in the NHRA Division 6 Land of the Leaders Challenge (for Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Sled/Bike and Jr. Dragster/Jr. Street.

Additionally, a show `n shine will also be offered for all Detroit brands in the upper pit area.

Gold Cup racing will also be offered in Super Pro, Pro, Sled/Bike, Sportsman and Jr. Dragster/Jr. Street. In addition to all of Firebird’s Gold Cup divisions, The Comfort Source Pro Comp eliminator will kick off its point’s series on both Sat (qualifying) and Sun (eliminations). All-new for 2025, Snake River Speed Shop/Free Form Motorsports will present the Idaho Small Tire Series on Sunday, 5/4. The class will be heads-up, .4-tenths pro light, eighth-mile running a 28 x 10.5 Non W or 275 radial.
