Congratulations to every member of the Firebird team for winning the Division 6 title at the Summit E.T. Finals hosted by Pacific Raceways.
Sixty-seven of Firebird’s top racers competed over Labor Day weekend, August 29-Sept. 2, at the Division 6 Finals in Kent, Wash.
Competing in the Race of Champions on Monday, both Zach Meziere defeated team mate Shawn Hart (Super Pro) and Journey Morell (Jr. Lightning) earned divisional victories. Team Firebird finished second overall in Manager’s Cup to Woodburn Dragstrip.
One day earlier (on Saturday), Team Firebird earned the overall track team championship for the ninth time. Additionally, Meziere (SP) was a winner over father-in-law Victor Clark for the Firebird team, whilc Morell (JT) and Payton Shaffer (Jr. Street) earned runner-up, respectively.
The Firebird team also collected the Wally for the inaugural Best Performing Track (for highest average win ratio on Sat.). Todd Coltrin also earned the Best Appearing Super Pro dragster plaque, which was selected by the Division 6 Certification team.
