Team Firebird earned their eighth Track Team Championship at the Division 6 Summit E.T. Finals staged over Labor Day weekend. The “Fly like an Eagle” Team put together quite a showing following an eleven year (2011) wait before sweeping the overall 2022 title in impressive fashion.
Competing on home turf, the sixty-four member Firebird team compiled 77 points at day’s end. Walla Walla enjoyed their best ever showing, finishing second overall with 60. The top five (out of thirteen northwest tracks) was rounded out by Renegade at 56, Woodburn 53 and Portland Int’l Raceway at 50.
