O’Reilly Auto Parts BOISE ROADSTER SHOW presented by Les Schwab Tires (March 12-15) at Expo Idaho
Idaho's largest motorsport's event, the Roadster Show offers a unique blend of nearly 200 machines in competition for four days and nights at Expo Idaho (home of the Western Idaho Fair). The 43rd Annual Roadster Show continues to be recognized as one of the nation's premiere ISCA (International Show Car Association) championship auto shows. SPRING WARM-UP & SWAP MEET presented by American Classifieds (April 4)
Firebird opens the Drag Racing Season with the biggest automotive Swap Meet in the five-state intermountain west. In addition, the Spring Warm-Up offers non-stop test `n tune grudge racing.
NAPA AUTO PARTS IGNITOR OPENER-NHRA Division 6 Lucas Oil Drag Race Series (May 15-17)
The longest running professional drag race in the northwest is the NAPA Auto Parts Ignitor presented. Firebird has hosted a NHRA Division 6 Lucas Oil Drag Race Series since 1969, which offers both national and divisional points for a wide range of racers and categories. Over 400 competitors are anticipated from upwards of a dozen states and Canada. In addition, the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series will make a key stop for the AA/Nitro Funny Car class on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
SNAP-ON TOOLS OLDIES BUT GOODIES DRAGS (May 30-31)
Featuring cars 1989 and older, the Snap-On Oldies But Goodies Drags features a terrific line-up of gassers, hot rods, customs, trucks, street machines and more. Returning this coming June, the event is like taking a step back to yesteryear. This special event is filled with tons of non-stop good `ole family fun. The headline class will be the 200 mph AA/Supercharged Championships. Both days are open to a big show `n shine in Firebird’s paved pro pit area.
FOX HUNT presented by Little Caesars Pizza (June 19-20)
The Little Caesars Pizza Great American Fox Hunt will return for the 38th year. This special "Night of Thrills" features the dramatic sights and sounds of the electrifying 270 mile per hour Jets. 240 mph blown and nitrous Pro Modified doorslammers will be featured, along with the Nostalgia BB/Funny Cars. In addition, a strong line-up of sportsman Gold Cup racing (on both Friday and Saturday nights) will also be on tap for this mid-summer sizzler.
PEPSI NIGHTFIRE NATIONALS (August 13-16)
The state's premiere motorsport's national championship, the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals will return this August even bigger and better than any year previous. Literally the Who's Who in the sport of drag racing have competed at what is recognized as Firebird's "Signature Event". Racers will compete in AA/Fuel Dragsters, AA/Funny Cars and Pro Modified. In addition, the excitement of the Outlaw wheelstander and Jet Dragsters will light-up the skyline nightly, too. The Saturday Night Thunder is one of the biggest nights of the entire season where all the Pro Stars compete in their final qualifying attempts. The Prime Time Finals on Sunday will culminate the 4-day & night race. In addition, hundreds of racers battle in the National Dragster Bracketeer Challenge for a combined purse topping $170,000. Idaho's News Channel 7 will present Friday Family Night during the Nightfire, which will take place on August 14.
NAPA Auto Parts HALLOWEEN CLASSIC XXI (October 7-11)
The NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic XXII event returns over five days and nights this October. No other event all season long matches the sheer volume and quantity of racing that takes place during the last racing stop of the season. Full of all kinds of surprises, the Classic has become one of Firebird's grandest happenings. From trick or treating to kid's games, it is literally a drag racing marathon of fun. The Club Challenge Runoffs will take place Wednesday evening. The wild Air Firebird Wheelstanding super show returns center-stage on Saturday night. The event will also crown a Classic Grand Champion, which will pit the major eliminator winners at day’s end Sunday. The Lucas Oil Top Gun Shootout returns, too, as the fastest open wheelers take on the quickest full bodied rides. In total, the Classic posts a cash and merchandise purse topping $40,000 as over 500 racers attend our season closing boo bash.
Championship Points Series at Firebird
Boise Muffler GOLD CUP POINTS SERIES (April-October)
Spanning the April to October calendar of events, Firebird Raceway offers thousands of competitors an opportunity to run for the Gold Cup Championship Points Series presented by Boise Muffler. Week-in and week-out, a multitude of races comprise the season-long point’s competition. Racers will duke it out in the classes of: Kidd Performance & Dyno Super Pro, Performance Solutions Pro, United Oil Sportsman (the Street category), Sled/Bike, and Junior Dragster classes attempting to score track titles, which will be awarded at the Firebird Award's Banquet on November 21. In addition, the top 58 racers following the Pepsi Nightfire will qualify for a spot in the Summit E.T. Finals, which Firebird will host in 2015 over Labor Day weekend.
JUNIOR DRAG RACE SERIES (April-October)
The Junior Series will see a track championship awarded to the year-end top finishers on a variety of weekends between April and October.
