KIDD PERFORMANCE BEST OF DETROIT PRESENTED BY LARRY MILLER CHRYSLER-JEEP-DODGE RAM AND LES SCHWAB TIRES

After greater than a half inch of rain fell overnight, the morning started out very wet. But a hard working track staff managed to get the racing surface dried out by late morning before time trials could begin. Remarkably enough (with many forecasters predicting upwards of 80% chance of a rain out), first round of eliminations started at 3 pm and the event was run to completion, finishing just after 5:30 pm before the skies opened up yet again.

Congratulations to Chris Jaggers (Super Pro), Casey Compton (Jr. Dragster) and David Kletzien (Street Bike) for all but locking up season-end titles. Jerry Forrey waded through a tough field of racers in the Best of Detroit, too, winning top honors for the Ford brand in the Detroit runoff.
