COX, NEW, STERLING AND DOUGAL WIN AT ANNUAL STAFF BASH

COX, NEW, STERLING AND DOUGAL WIN AT ANNUAL STAFF BASH

After a full day of testing and grudge racing, the track was turned over to all of the track officials for the Staff Bash. A tradition for better than twenty-five years attracted a near record (for the staff race) 33 participants for the always fun “race within a race”. Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped conduct the event, including announcers Ryan Resinkin and Kristi Shawver; clock reader Denise Clark; starting line crew Ashton Davis, Steve Rogers, Alex Charlton; pit control Jay Clark; tech inspections Jason Hof, Gary Resinkin; e.t. booth Courtney Smith. In addition, Rick Berry, Jen & Maddie Fetty and crew helped cook up tons of pizza for all the participants and crew.

Thanks to all the staff who competed in four different categories (for cars running 14.00 and slower). Winners included Nanette Cox (who helps in the Sport Shop); Brad New (front gates); Blaine Sterling (Food Service); and Lee Dougal (Starting Line and Tech). As you can see from the photo, above, a big gathering of people helped congratulated all the staff champions.
